When filming our piece, we thought that displaying genre conventions in the costumes would be very effective. As we are creating a war film, we knew that certain clothing and props would set the scene more than others.
Below is a list of costumes and props that we intend to use in our piece;
->Balaclavas
->Paintball guns (to replicate real guns)
->Paintball masks for 'good guys'
->Dark clothing and/or camo gear - for both good guys and bad guys
->Black hoodies for 'good guys'
These items follow the war film genre and they are conventions that cannot really be confused with any other genre of film. Using these props and costuming will hopefully make it obvious to the audience of the genre we intend to represent.Labels: Costumes/Props, Rob Cooper, War film |
